Kosho Nage Concepts: Art of the Throw

* Kosho Nage Concepts

Kosho Nage Concepts: Art of the Throw. Welcome to course four in the Kosho Core Concepts Series called Kosho Nage Concepts: Art of the Throw.

Throws are part of many different martial arts around the world. However they are often times accomplished their throws via leverage and strength.

Whereas a throw should be a completely natural movement. The attacker should not be able to escape.

And Nage or throws should be the result of the attacker losing their center, and not the effort on the part of the defender.

It is strongly recommended that you have completed the Introduction to Kosho Ryu Video Course as a prerequisite to this course. This will allow you because of your understanding or the 12-6-4 theory to work the other courses in this Kosho Core Concepts series.

Kosho Nage Concepts: Art of the Throw

A throw should be a natural motion and not dependent on leverage or strength. And this is what Kosho Nage Concepts is teaching. However most throws seen today involve the taking on of the body mass of the attacker or Uke. The defender decides they wish to throw the attacker and then try to force the situation to achieve the results.

This is just not a good decision to make. All motion must be natural, not forced. And thus Kosho Nage Concepts Video Course was created. To make throws easy ans natural.

And the result is never what was desired as the throw is labored an can result in failure. Also there is a potential for the defender to fall with the attacker to fall on top of them. Or have you had it happen or seen it happen where the attacker reverses the throw? This is one of the worst thing that can happen!

Kosho Nage Concepts

Understanding this information, Kosho Nage Concepts will end this potential! And what is the main reason to throw someone? To create a window for escape! Self Defense is not combat! And it cannot safely be viewed that way either.

And if we are honest about our training the Uke cooperates with the throw. But this will never happen in real life. How often have you heard someone complain about being able to make a technique work because the Uke is not cooperating. I used to deal with this nightly in my Dojo.

I know that my root art of Hapkido we learned leverage based throws. And many of these throws were based on body strength, not body mechanics. Thereofre many of the females had a great deal of trouble performing them. It seemed more like Judo at times.

Certain not something designed for street! The throw of Kosho as I teach them are based on folding the body, disrupting the balance. This makes all throws taught in the Kosho Nage Concepts natural and easy.

In the martial arts you should get better with age, not worse. But if the training is designed with youth in mind this is the result. And this is certainly NOT what the training of old was like. I am getting better, more effective as I age, not slower and weaker. Kosho Ryu is an old man martial art. And they all should be.

Most important to note is that because most martial artists study a reactive martial art systems this is information is completely new to you. Kosho Ryu is a preparatory martial arts 1st, and reactionary second. Kosho teaches about what the attacker will do and not on what the defender wishes they could do!

This part 5 of the Kosho Core Concepts Series has been released. It was released right after Kosho Triangulation Theory. This course is now online and ready for download. Discover the art of the throw and how it can happen naturally once the concepts are understood and practiced!

Back in history, previous centuries martial arts training was outlawed by Kings and governments. Why is it not outlawed today?? They are attacking free speech, because it is dangerous. And they, the dystopian governments try to control all aspects of life now.

Yet you can train in the martial arts.

Think about this for a few minutes. Why is this still allowed? Because the bite is gone. Martial Artists are not a threat to their rule. How does that make you feel? It is true. Today the arts are relegated to activities for children and sport.

Martial Arts training should not be looked at as an activity. It is rather a study. And a study that lasts for a lifetime. The world is in the trouble it is in today because people are not educated, they are indoctrinated. Therefore they regurgitate information that is not truth, but part of a narrative.

And the martial arts world has been affected by this also. Thus the believe that ring fighting and feats of physical prowess are the only way. There is no truth to this idea. These things have value, but are only a fraction of the entire picture.

Learning is for a lifetime.

How often have you heard someone say that they are "too old for" something? There is not truth to this as age is a state of mind. Anyone can do the Kosho Nage Concepts. Age is a state of mind.

Too many martial artists my age have relegated themselves to talking about their glory days at a coffee shop, or worse social media platforms.  I do not believe we are meant to retire! To me retirement is just a change of what we are doing. Learning is for a lifetime. You are never too old to learn something new!
